Resolution Together

Resolution Together One Lawyer for Both of You

Resolution, Free family Law Consultation, Solicitors in Wimborne, Broadstone, Christchurch, Verwood, Dorset

Resolution Together allows a separating couple to use the same solicitor to advise them, so they do not need individual solicitors. It is suitable for separating couples whose joint aim is to reach an outcome that meets both of their needs, and if they are parents, the needs of their children. They must be on the same page and willing to work together amicably.

How Resolution Together Works

Our Resolution Together solicitor, Genette Gale, would initially see the separating couple together for a short appointment to explain how Resolution Together works.

If they both wish to use Resolution Together, they then would each need to see Genette, for separate individual appointments on different days.

The purpose of the individual appointments is to make sure that Resolution Together is right for them.

After the individual appointments, a date will be booked for the first joint appointment so the separating couple can discuss the legal issues with Genette, for example division of the finances due to the separation, and/or the arrangements for the children.

While it is for the separating couple to decide what is right for them, Genette will be there to give you both information on the legal process which applies and what a court may think or consider, with the aim of trying to help the separating couple reach an agreement. If they both reach an agreement, Genette can incorporate it into a written agreement or court order whichever is appropriate.

Cost Benefits

Resolution Together, can be more cost effective than formal court proceedings, if you both reach an agreement through Resolution Together.

Requirements for Resolution Together

If you wish to engage in Resolution Together you both must be willing to be open and honest about your financial situation to one another, and to cooperate with providing information, to enable you both to have the information you both need, to make a decision.
