What does the LPA offer include?

Our promotional fee includes professionally drafted both types of Lasting Power of Attorney:

Property and Financial Affairs LPA

This allows your chosen attorneys to make decisions about your finances and property, subject to the authority given in your LPA.

Health and Welfare LPA

This allows your chosen attorneys to make certain decisions about your health and welfare if you’re unable to make those decisions yourself.

Having both types of LPA can help you put comprehensive arrangements in place for your future.

Who is the LPA offer for?

The offer is available to:

• Individuals who want both types of LPA
• Couples who want both types of LPA

It’s suitable for people who want to plan ahead and choose trusted individuals to make decisions on their behalf if they’re unable to do so themselves.

Why make a Lasting Power of Attorney?

An LPA allows you to decide who you trust to make important decisions for you.

Without an appropriate LPA, your spouse, partner or family members won’t automatically have legal authority to deal with all your financial or welfare matters if you lose mental capacity.

Making an LPA in advance can therefore give you greater control over who acts for you and how your affairs are managed.

Do I need both types of Lasting Power of Attorney?

The two types of LPA cover different areas.

A Property and Financial Affairs LPA deals with matters such as money, property and financial decisions.

A Health and Welfare LPA deals with personal welfare and certain healthcare decisions.

You don’t have to make both, but our special offer has been designed to provide both types at a significantly reduced fee.

How much is the Office of the Public Guardian fee?

The current registration fee is £92 per LPA.

This fee is separate from our legal fees and is payable directly to the Office of the Public Guardian.

If you’re making both types of LPA, the standard registration fees would therefore be £184 per person, subject to any applicable fee exemption or reduction.
