Over Doing the Denim to Raise Money for Jeans for Genes Day
Staff at Harold G Walker Solicitors left their suits at home and adorned all things denim to raise funds for Jeans for Genes Day. Teams from each of the firms four offices competed to win a prize for the best dressed in denim, in the process raising £100 for the genetic disorder charity. Although all staff participated in supporting the scheme, it was the legal firms Verwood team who were crowned winners and rewarded for embracing all things denim.
Jeans for Genes Day raises money for Genetic Disorders UK, the charity that aims to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders. Genetic disorders affect 1 in 25 children in the UK- that’s more than 30,000 babies born each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 and under. Funds raised provide vital care and support for the thousands of children with genetic disorders.

Nicola Lowe, Managing Partner said, “Once again the staff have responded enthusiastically to a very worthy cause, digging deep in their denim pockets to donate so generously. The friendly rivalry between the offices to win the best dressed in denim competition only added to the fun. Harold G Walker has an ethos of working hard and to play hard. It is this attitude that makes the firm a great place to work.”
