Associate and Employment Solicitor
Dee is an Associate of Harold G Walker Solicitors. An experienced Employment Solicitor specialising in contentious and non-contentious matters, being able to represent both companies and employees within the Dorset area.
A member of the Employment Lawyers Association and a solicitor in the Employment Team, Dee advises companies and individuals on a full range of contentious and non-contentious areas of employment law.
Dee’s contentious experience includes advising on unfair dismissal, redundancy, disability, sex and race discrimination, TUPE and breach of contract claims. She also advises on the conduct of capability as well as disciplinary, dismissal and grievance procedures.
Her non-contentious experience includes drafting and reviewing contracts of employment, director service agreements, consultancy agreements, compromise agreements, staff handbooks, company policies and procedures. She also advises on varying terms of employment, restructuring and redundancies, as well as advising on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Dee read Classics at Royal Holloway before studying law at the College of Law in Guildford. She initially trained with niche employment firm Langley & Co (now Archon) in London, before moving to the south coast to join Trethowans solicitors in 2002. Dee joined Harold G Walker in March 2008.
She thoroughly enjoys living in the area with easy access to the coast and the New Forest. In her spare time, Dee enjoys travelling – and a good book.
