Harold G Walker Solicitors proudly announced it will become this year’s headline sponsor for the Light up the Prom event in support of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital charity. The event which takes place on Friday 20th October Friday 10th November at Bournemouth Pier Approach brings together all those who have been affected or cared for by staff at Bournemouth Hospital to unite in an evening of remembrance. Visitors are invited to enjoy an evening of live music, and fireworks and to take part in a two-minute silence to remember all those that have been loved and lost.
Royal Bournemouth Hospital Charity representative, Maria Tidy said “Light up the Prom is an opportunity for people who have been affected by illness to join us at Bournemouth Pier Approach for a moving evening of remembrance. The evening begins with a single firework at 8 pm, which provides a signal for all ‘Light up the Prom’ lights to be switched on and for the two-minute silence to begin. The evening then continues with a short fireworks display and live entertainment from Bournemouth Male Voice Choir.”
This will be the fourth consecutive year the Light up the Prom fundraising event has taken place on Bournemouth’s seafront and aims to raise in excess of £10,000 for the local charity. People are invited to take part and support the charity by purchasing a light to shine during the remembrance service. Lights are £5 each and can be purchased online at http://www.bhcharity.org/. Alternatively, they can be bought from the Bournemouth Hospital Charity Office or at any of Harold G Walker’s four offices in Broadstone, Christchurch, Verwood and Wimborne. People who intend to purchase their lights in the evening are advised to arrive no later than 7.30 pm as it is expected to be very busy in the lead-up.
