We are Flying High in Support of Royal Bournemouth Hospital Charity
Harold G Walker’s Wills and Probate Lawyer, Gaynor Cooke took to the skies in a sponsored Wing Walk to support Royal Bournemouth Hospital in raising funds for the Orchard Garden Project. A glorious sunny and windy morning at Compton Abbas Airfield became the setting for the legal expert to make her debut flight. Her extreme efforts were not unnoticed by the Harold G Walker firm who donated an additional £500 to the cause.
“This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and although I was slightly apprehensive at first, once we got in the air it was an incredible feeling- like being a bird,” comments Gaynor Cooke, Harold G Walker Lawyer. “It was a truly unforgettable experience. And I am delighted that my firm supported me by making a contribution to the project.”
The money raised will go towards the build of the Orchard Garden which will create a tranquil outside space for patients who are receiving treatment and in-between appointments. The aim of the project is to provide a therapeutic setting for patients and visitors of the hospital at what can be a scary and difficult time.
Royal Bournemouth Hospital Charity Events organiser Barry Wilson was delighted to receive the donation from the HGW Solicitor, “This is a fantastic achievement for Gaynor and we really appreciate her support as well as Harold G Walker’s generous donation which edges the charity even closer to our target.”
